2002 to 2007
The Standing Still Mountain teahouse was built in 2002 in Northwest Portland, Oregon and designed to offer a large selection of teas and teaware. Key to the teahouse was a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony room built on the Omotosenke teatradition. Veerinder's Chanoyu teacher Mitsuru Hokiari from Japan provided the design for it and his eldest brother did the woodwork. Over the years, the teahouse was instrumental in spreading tea heart, mind and love. Several tea events and tastings were conducted at the teahouse. The teahouse was closed in 2007 due to lease negotiations and we are currently seeking a new location in the same vicinity to resurface the tea spirit again.
