Fire Rings
Famous Chinese Green Teas

Origin: Nan Yue County, Hunan Province, China

Plucking Season: Fire Rings are made in late Spring, when tip buds are at their longest and fullest.

Introduction: The province of Hunan is situated toward the middle reaches of the Yangzi river. In Chinese tea terms, it has the official designation as ‘South of the Lake’, refering to the second largest lake ‘Dongting’ in China. It is known for an ideal tea environment and produces some of China’s finest white, green and black teas.

Brew one teaspoon of leaf per eight ounces of 170 - 190 F water for four minutes. We recommend using spring or filtered water, as it will not distort the flavor. Fire Rings are best infused in a glass or white porcelain gaiwan to appreciate each ring as it unfurls into leaf and bud. Provides 3 to 4 infusions.
