Hand Crafted
Kyusu - Handetched Blue
Handcrafted Teapot

Origin: The Tao of Tea, India

Introduction: The inspiration for this teapot came from the traditional Kyusu teapots of Japan. Kyusu style teapot has the feature of a hollow handle to avoid it from being too hot for use. It is made in Northeastern India in a small village that is reknowned for ceramics. There are over 80 kilns in this small village. The traditional skills of hand-etching in India are applied on this teapot illustrating a floral leaf pattern.

Strainer
The teapot includes a removable stainless steel infuser that makes brewing pure leaf teas very convenient.

Hand Crafted Character

Each piece is hand painted, glazed and fired in small batches. Because of their hand crafted nature, no two are exactly alike. Slight variations in the painted pattern, glaze drips and imperfections in the glaze, as well as subtle shifts in shades and texture all contribute to the one of a kind character of this distinctive Indian teaware. Idiosyncrasies in appearance are part of their essential character and do not interfere with their function. This teapot is sold as-is.

Size
