We work with a small, organic grower in Southern Brazil to bring you the Yerba Mate in this Chai. The Mate is roasted to perfection, providing a rounded, deep, rich taste similar to light chocolate. We then blend it with warming spices (cloves, ginger, cardamom and cinnamon) and microbrew it for a robust, energetic and uplifting brew.
Yerba Mate was first used by the Guarani Indians who believed it could cleanse and heal the spirit. Popular in South America (Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina), Mate contains vitamins A, B1, B2, C and E, mineral salts, amino acids and antioxidants.
Sweetened with Coconut Sugar
We use organic coconut sugar to sweeten the brew. Coconut sugar is produced from the sweet juices of tropical coconut palm sugar blossoms and contains no preservatives. It is known to have a much lower glycemic index than evaporated cane juice.
Fair Trade Certified
We pay a premium for our herbs and spices directly to growers ensuring ethical and fair farming practices.
